Gary CHRISTMAS

Gary Walter Christmas peacefully passed away in his sleep on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at the age of 82. Gary was born to Walter and Dorothy Christmas, and he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Peggy Dalby in 1991 and Marlene Pippy in 2000. He was also deeply mourned by his beloved wife Linda, who passed away in 1998. Gary was a proud and cherished father to his children Gary, Kimberley, and Cheryl-Lyn. He was a loving grandfather to Amanda, Cory, Niki, and Jessica, and a great grandfather to Ben, Brae-Lyn, Teegan, and Espin. He is survived by his sisters Marion Bedore and Sharon Lillis, his brother Rick, and his two brother-in-laws Willoughby Pippy and John Dalby. Gary will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, friends, and all those who knew him.

A service will be held in his honor on Monday, July 17, at 12 noon at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home located at 309 Johnson Street in Barrie. The interment will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Glenburnie. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion 631 on 4034 Bath Rd in Kingston from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warriors in honor of Gary. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, July 17, at 12 noon. The service will be held at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, located at 309 Johnson Street in Barrie. Following the service, a private interment ceremony will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Glenburnie. A reception will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion 631, situated on 4034 Bath Rd in Kingston.
