Gary WILLIAMS

Gary Robert Williams, a resident of Owen Sound, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on November 1, 1936, in Wiarton. Gary was the beloved husband of Louise (nee Benner) and together they shared a beautiful life. He was a loving father to Paul Williams, Dianna Cragg, and Susan Wright. Gary took immense joy in being a cherished grandpa to Fawn, Matthew, Cory, Megan, Erin, and Maci. His 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He was the dear brother of Arthur Williams, Yvonne Jones, Marion Schurman, and Terry Williams. Gary’s memory will forever be treasured by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Elva, as well as 8 siblings. Gary’s love for traveling, camping, woodworking, cruising, and spending time with family brought him immense happiness.

The family will be holding a memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home in Owen Sound on November 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation period starting one hour earlier.
