George Morris Barlow, a resident of Camrose, Alberta, and previously of Vermilion, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on August 16, 2023. Sadly, this date marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of his beloved wife, Helen. George’s family deeply mourns his loss but takes solace in the cherished memories of a life well lived.

George is survived by his loving children: Glen (Lynne) Barlow, Arnold (Martha) Barlow, and Kenneth Barlow (Mona Cormier). Additionally, he leaves behind his grandchildren: Kailey, Justin, Timmy, Colton, Kevin, Shane, Tyler, Lindsey, Kendra, and Danny, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. His brothers, Jack Barlow and Larry (Audrey) Barlow, and sister Winnifred Farkash also mourn his passing. George will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.

Preceding George in death were his wife Helen Barlow (August 16, 2022), parents Lawrence and Muriel Barlow, sister Ena (Delbert) Leigh, sister-in-law Mary Anne Barlow, and brother-in-law Charlie Farkash.

Honoring George’s wishes, his remains were cremated, and there will be no formal service. Instead of flowers, memorial tributes in George’s memory can be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences can be sent through the Memento Funeral Chapel website.

Arrangements for George’s services were entrusted to Memento Funeral Chapel, serving Bonnyville, Cold Lake, and St. Paul since 1975. The Thackeray Family has been proudly upholding a tradition of trust within the community.
