Glenna Vail

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Glenna Douglas (Perry) Vail. Glenna passed away on October 26, 2023 at Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, NB, at the age of 82. She was born on May 26, 1941, in Coles Island, NB, to her loving parents, Wyer and Bertha (Cole) Perry.

Glenna is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Randall, who resides in Belleisle Creek, NB. She is also survived by her sons, Stephen, also of Belleisle Creek, and Peter (Liane) of Charters Settlement, NB. Glenna leaves behind her sister, Lynn Myers (Don), who lives in Glendale, California. She cherished her grandchildren, Emily (Allen) and Graeme, and leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Glenna was predeceased by her sisters: Myra Perry, Anna Hasson, Vesta McGinley, Berne Boyd, and Donna Bielecki. She was also predeceased by her brothers: Donald, Wayne, and Warren Perry. Glenna was mourned by her sister-in-laws Glenna (Bishop) Perry, Irene Smith, Etta Vail, Marion Kellow (Walter), and Marie Mason (Stan), as well as by her brother-in-laws Osborne ‘Todd’ Boyd, Charles ‘Bud’ McGinley, Bogdan ‘Buck’ Bielecki, Clifford Vail (Florence), and Hedley Vail Jr (Eileen).

Glenna was a dedicated wife and mother, and a significant part of her life was spent caring for her boys and her beloved grandchildren. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family will forever be remembered.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156) located at 18 Scovil Road, Norton. A celebration of Glenna’s life will be held at the Belleisle Creek Community Hall (1338 Route 870, Belleisle Creek, NB) on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 1:30 to 4:00pm.

The family kindly requests that donations in memory of Glenna be made to the Belleisle Creek Community Hall or the charity of the donor’s choice. The family greatly appreciates the support and generosity of those who choose to contribute. A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated staff at Kiwanis Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided to Glenna.

May Glenna’s soul rest in eternal peace. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
