Harvey Paul Rohrer, widely known as Paul Rohrer, passed away on July 30, 2023, after a prolonged illness. He was a beloved family member and friend to many. Paul peacefully departed at University Hospital in London, leaving a void in the hearts of those who cherished him.
For three decades, Paul shared a loving partnership with Shirley Carroll. Together, they built a life marked by happiness and love. Paul is survived by his son Keith (Cathy), stepsons David Carroll (Darlene) and Allan Carroll (Nancy), and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sister Vera and extended family also mourn his loss deeply.
Paul’s parents, son Kenneth, brother Elgin, and sisters Bernice and Betty precede him in death. Despite the sorrow caused by these losses, Paul formed strong bonds with numerous friends and colleagues throughout his life. He derived immense satisfaction from operating his dump truck and excelled in his duties with great pride.
A passionate fan of Nascar, Paul had a knack for teasing and joking with others. Even in the face of illness, he never lost his sense of humor, enlivening the nurses with entertaining stories. Honoring Paul’s wishes, his family will hold a private burial service in the future at Cultus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Cardiac Surgical Recovery Unit at University Hospital or the Cultus United Church.
