Helen Csetneky

Helen Csetneky, born on May 9, 1932, peacefully passed away on August 18, 2023, spreading her wings to join her beloved husband Alexander, who preceded her in death in 2020. Helen was a devoted mother to her daughter Nancee and a loving grandmother to Kimberlee and Shannon. She took great pride in being a doting great-grandmother to Kaleb, Zander, and Fynnlee. Preceding her in death were her parents, Coleman and Mary Simon, as well as her siblings Elizabeth, Carmen, and Lawrence. Helen’s memory will forever be cherished by her extended family and dear friends.

Her granddaughters hold dear many fond memories of their time spent with Helen, especially the joyous moments of playing dress-up and taking turns wearing her wedding dress and clip-on earrings. Trips to the candy store and the Hungarian language lessons she provided will forever be treasured. Helen’s kindness was exemplified by her endless generosity, always offering Kolbassa, empire cookies, and other sweet treats, accompanied by her signature phrase, “holler if you need anything.” She found joy in the simplest pleasures of life, whether it was finding hidden treasures for a bargain at garage sales, watching old movies, tending to her gardens, or enjoying her daily afternoon “happy hour.” Even though she may no longer be physically present, Helen will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones. Love, which transcends time, never ceases to exist.

A private family service was held at Toll Funeral Home, followed by her interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As we bid farewell to Helen, we find solace in the knowledge that her spirit will always be with us, and her memory will be kept alive through the love and affection she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
