Howard Earl Hussey, a skilled carpenter for 45 years and a longtime resident of Oxford County, passed away at Woodingford Lodge Ingersoll. He was born on September 11, 1936, and departed from this world on August 25, 2023. Howard is fondly remembered as a beloved husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Throughout his life, he was deeply committed to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his wife, Louise Ruth Hussey (Rutherford), Howard leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Together, they shared 67 years of cherished memories. His daughter-in-law, Darlene Hussey, and his grandchildren Tessa, Dean, Andrew and Dawn Tucker, Jon and Brittany, Trent Jr., Jeremy and Dina, Karl and Courtney, and Patty and Lyndsey also mourn his loss. Furthermore, Howard’s great-grandchildren, including Drew, Avree, Ethan, Dean, Logan, Lucien, Cas, Ezekiel, Hayden, Kaylee, Logan, Dawson, and Aiden, will forever hold him dear in their hearts. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Betty Onema and brother David (Sandy) Hussey. Tragically, he was predeceased by his parents Nellie and Howard Ersmas Hussey, his children Tracey and Richard Masson, Trent Hussey, and Danny Hussey, as well as his brother Larry Hussey.

A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date to honor Howard’s memory. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford are graciously accepted. Wareing Cremation Services, located at 346 Simcoe St., Tillsonburg, has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
