Irma was a compassionate and gentle soul, always cherishing the company of her family and friends. As a dedicated wife and loving mother, she took great joy in ensuring the well-being of those around her. She had an unmatched talent in the kitchen and was known for her delicious dishes and homemade desserts. Whether it was a family dinner or a gathering with loved ones, Irma’s house was always filled with laughter, good conversation, and a satisfied belly.
For 29 years, Irma played a vital role as a School Crossing Guard, safeguarding the lives of generations of students. Her selflessness extended beyond her work, as she volunteered at the Anglican Church in Garson for many years. Irma had a passion for gardening, ceramics, reading, and knitting. She found solace in the beauty of nature and cherished her time spent birdwatching. Together with her husband Ed, Irma eagerly embraced traveling and camping, particularly enjoying country music festivals during the summer months.
Irma’s kind and loving nature touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts as a treasure. The family extends its gratitude to the compassionate staff at St Joseph’s Villa for their care. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Irma’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Society, although any charity of choice will be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
