It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Randy Duguay. Randy peacefully departed on August 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Throughout his life, Randy exemplified kindness, compassion, and a great sense of humor, which remained with him until his final moments. Born in Belleville, Randy was the cherished son of Marie Duguay (nee Haley). He was deeply loved by his late brother Joe Duguay (Carol), and was the adored nephew of Lorne and Tom, as well as the late George, Don, John, Bill, and Louise. Randy took great pride in being a loving and devoted father to his children, Steven (Jenn), Sarah (Robbie), and Shawn (Caitlin). His granddaughters, Dyonesse, Sierra, Breanna, and Rebecca, will forever miss their beloved Papa. Randy’s long-time partner, Joanne DeJong, and her extended family, along with numerous friends made along the way, will hold him dear in their hearts. Fondly known as Grandy, he will be remembered with love by Lorri Naumann and family. Recognized for his honesty and integrity, Randy was a pillar of the community as a well-respected real estate agent with Royal LePage. Later, he established himself as a reputable home builder. Randy and his family are grateful for the kind and compassionate care he received at the Belleville Dialysis Clinic for many years, as well as at Kingston General Hospital during his final days. We invite you to join us in celebrating Randy’s life at a heartfelt gathering at Burke Funeral Home (150 Church Street, Belleville) on Saturday, September 2, 2023, between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a special moment of remembrance scheduled for 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request considering a donation in Randy’s memory to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.

Throughout his life, Randy’s kindness, compassion, and sense of humor never wavered, remaining a constant source of joy until his final breath. Born in Belleville, Randy was the beloved son of Marie Duguay (nee Haley). His late brother Joe Duguay (Carol) held a special place in his heart, and Randy was also greatly treasured as the nephew of Lorne and Tom, as well as the late George, Don, John, Bill, and Louise. Randy took immense pride in his role as a loving and devoted father to Steven (Jenn), Sarah (Robbie), and Shawn (Caitlin). His granddaughters, Dyonesse, Sierra, Breanna, and Rebecca, will forever cherish their memories of their Papa. Alongside his life partner, Joanne DeJong, Randy created a loving extended family and formed lasting friendships that will sustain his memory. Remembered fondly as Grandy by Lorri Naumann and family, Randy’s honesty and integrity earned him a respected place within the community, as he established himself both as a real estate agent with Royal LePage and as a reputable home builder. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Belleville Dialysis Clinic for their kind and compassionate care over the years and to Kingston General Hospital for the support given during Randy’s final days. A Celebration Of Life in Randy’s honor will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Burke Funeral Home (150 Church Street, Belleville).
