Joan LEE

Joan Yuen Lee peacefully passed away at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, Ontario on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Sunny for 54 years, until his death. Joan was a loving mother to her sons Gary, Jeff, Tony (Helen), Ross (Melanie), and her daughter Donna Wong (Frank). She took great pride in being a grandmother to Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Olivia. Joan will be dearly missed by her brothers Jack (Mai) and Herb (Judy), as well as her sisters Irene, Shirley (Bruce), Kathy, and Dorothy (Dominic). Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews Michael, Wayne, Robert, Michael, Matthew, Tracy, and Samantha, along with numerous grand-nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons funeral home, known as “The Chapel on the Corner,” located at 309 Johnson Street in Kingston, on Wednesday, November 1, between the hours of 12 noon – 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow in The Chapel, and Joan will be laid to rest at Cataraqui Cemetery.

Joan Yuen Lee’s presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved and cherished her. May she rest in peace.
