Joan Petit-Clerc

Joan Petit-Clerc, affectionately known as Granny, passed away at the age of 90. She was born on August 26, 1932, and departed this world on August 17, 2023. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas “Bud,” and her son, Michael, who was married to Wilhelmina.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Catherine, and her husband Richard Hogan. Joan also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephen, Lauren, and their respective spouses Shane, Suzy, and Jeff. Additionally, she was blessed with great-grandchildren Christopher, Madison, Olivia, Samantha, Elizabeth, and Travis. Joan was an adored Gran to her extended family, including Mitch, Phil, Rob, and their families.

Having lost seven siblings before her passing, Joan is survived by her two sisters, Annie Hickey and Donna Moran, along with their husbands. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever hold a special place in their hearts for their beloved Aunt Joan.

A funeral service in Joan’s honor will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. Luke’s Parish, located at 106 Anselme Lavigne Blvd in Dollard des Ormeaux. The service will commence promptly at 11:00 am, with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care center in Kirkland, Quebec.

Joan Petit-Clerc, a woman for whom family was everything, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished for generations to come, as her legacy lives on through her loved ones and the many lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear Joan.
