Joan YALE

Joan E. Yale peacefully passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 90. Surrounded by loved ones, she gracefully departed from this world. Joan was born on February 14, 1933, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, to her parents, George H. and Keitha Rosetta Turner. She attended the Eastern School of Commerce in Toronto. Joan married George G. Yale in 1974, and together they had a fulfilling life until his death on February 4, 2001.

With an eye for design, Joan was an esteemed interior designer and the proud owner of Yale Associates. Through her work, she delighted in helping her clients achieve the perfect home décor. Joan was a devoted member of the Anglican Church throughout her life. She is survived by her children: Perry and (Nywyn) Wright from British Columbia, Canada; Krista Taskey from Manlius; Derek and Linda Lacey; and Jennifer Lacey and her spouse, Roy Durling. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Laurin Taskey and Dylan Lacey, as well as several nieces and nephews. Joan’s loyal companion, Harley, a canine friend, will dearly miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, George G. Yale, and her brother, Ronald Turner.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, NY. The family kindly requests no calling hours.
