John David Mowat

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John at the age of 67 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Sharon, their children Haley, Garret, Desiree, Jerome, Sicoya, and Quante, as well as his grandchildren Oliver, Arlo, Mack, Haddie, Jae’La, and Lacoya. John’s sister Bette-Jean Kohut, brother Bill Mowat, and parents William and Jean Mowat have preceded him in death. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends who have stood by him during challenging times. John’s resilient spirit and compassionate nature served as an inspiration to all who knew him.

John, a retired Captain of the Edmonton Fire Department, took great pride in his work. In his memory, it would be appreciated if donations could be made to the Edmonton Burn Treatment Society. A private service will be held to honor his life and legacy.
