John THOM

John Allan Thom, a remarkable man in his 86th year, passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on November 1, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley Anne Thom (nee Bryden), and was a loving father to Margie Thom and John Thom (Barb). John was a cherished grandfather to Amanda, Samaira, and O.Jay Knol, as well as Samantha and Travis Thom. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Evee and Remy Knapp. John will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law Bob Bryden (Helen), George Hopkins, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ruth Thom, sister Marion Hopkins, brother Ted Thom, as well as his in-laws Margaret and Vernon Bryden.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at a later date at St Andrew Presbyterian Church in Prescott. The arrangements for the service have been entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home located at 4 James St., E., Brockville.
