John “Jim” Tymo PhD, aged 75, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. The news of his loss brings about immense sorrow. Jim had a profound love for playing card games, making jokes, going for drives, and spending time with friends. He delighted in recounting the events of his day to his loved ones over the phone. In addition, he recently acquired the skill of playing the piano. Jim’s life can be best described by three traits: being a dedicated teacher, a jovial soul, and a cherished friend.

Left behind to treasure Jim’s memory are his children, John and Mary Tymo, his brother Norman Tymo, his grandchildren, Grace and Matthew Tymo, his sister Shirley Peters, his niece Natasha Tymo, and his nephews Mark Tymo, Jake Peters, and Alex Peters. Jim also leaves behind a multitude of wonderful friends who held him dear.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Park Memorial located at 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
