We regretfully announce the passing of Jon Brosi James Nutting on October 28, 2023, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Surrounded by his loved ones, Jon will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his wisdom as a colleague, his steadfast friendship, and his relentless pursuit of truth. Jon is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, NoĆ«lla, and his daughters Melany (Mark) Tracey, Brenda Spearman, Stephanie (Stefan) Nutting, Victoria (Rob) Nutting, Kristine (Brad) Nutting, Jacqueline (Richard) Nutting, and Rachelle (Mark) Dumesnil-McLeod. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrea, Erin, Michael, Bryce, Amanda, Adrian, Evan, Madeline, Luc, Evangeline, Danielle, Casia, and Liam, as well as six great-grandchildren. His passing is mourned by his extended family, the Nuttings and the Dumesnils, and his two adoptive sisters, Irene Ositis-Schmeiser of Saskatoon and Larisa Ositis of Rosetown. Jon had been unofficially adopted by the late Dr. Alex and Maria Ositis of Rosetown. Flowers may be refrained and instead, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital or a charity of choice. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at RUH, Home Care, and the Palliative Care Unit for their unwavering support. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Saskatoon on December 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial in Radisson, SK at a later date.
