Joseph SUSKO

Joseph Francis Susko, a beloved husband, father, uncle, and brother-in-law, passed away at the age of 71. It is with deep sadness that we announce his peaceful passing on September 29, 2023, at St. Thomas General Hospital in the Continue Care Unit. Joseph was born on February 12, 1952, in London to Mary Frances Kearley. At the age of two, he was lovingly adopted by Frank and Verlyn Susko.

Joseph spent his childhood on a farm in Glanworth, where he learned valuable life lessons. Music played a significant role in his family, and during his younger years, he found joy in playing the drums. After completing college, Joseph pursued a career as a communications electronics technician. For 51 years, he shared a beautiful life with his wife Beverly. Together, they raised three children, Kenneth, Jennifer, and David, and also opened their hearts and home to numerous foster children.

In his later years, Joseph moved to Port Stanley, where he became an integral part of the community and formed deep connections. He leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by his entire family and many friends. In memory of Joseph, donations can be made to the London Regional Cancer Program and the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley. The family would like to express their special gratitude to the exceptional medical teams at London Health Sciences Center and St. Thomas General Hospital, as well as the volunteer drivers and supportive friends.

A memorial service in honor of Joseph’s life will take place on Friday, October 6, at 2 p.m. at Christ Church on Glanworth Dr, followed by a celebration of life at 3:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley. Condolences can be expressed through the website http://www.londoncremation.com.
