Junior WILLIAMS

Junior Williams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of [age]. He was surrounded by his loving family at Maison McCulloch Hospice. Junior was married to his soulmate Carole (née Pinard) and was the son of Clarence (predeceased) and Esmay Williams, both originally from Barbados. He was a devoted and caring father to his children, Jermaine of Barbados and Angelo, and a cherished grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren, Sharia, Janobi, D’Angelo, Amaari, and Malik. Junior was also a loving brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, and had the utmost respect for his extended family.

Music was Junior’s true passion, and he found immense joy in singing for anyone who had the pleasure of being in his presence. He dedicated his time to entertaining residents of long-term care facilities in the Greater City of Sudbury and built strong friendships with his Costco colleagues, who he considered his second family. Junior also found peace in camping at Green Bay Lodge and enjoying the tranquility of dropping his fishing line in the water. For 25 years, he shared his incredible voice with guests on various cruise lines, forming lasting connections with fellow crew members from diverse backgrounds and jamming with talented musicians onboard.

Junior’s positivity and warm smile left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His wife, Carole, considers it an honor to have shared a beautiful journey with him and knows it will continue until they are reunited. His passing is a loss felt deeply, but heaven has gained an angelic singer as Junior joins the choir of angels. May he rest in eternal peace.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The family kindly requests that donations be made in Junior’s memory, either by cheque or online, to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Leukemia Foundation of Canada, or the Northern Cancer Foundation.
