Kathyn Wills

It is with deep sorrow that we bid farewell to Kathy, who peacefully passed away in her home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her numerous friends and family members. Kathy was the cherished daughter of Ruby (Phillips) and Bill Wills, both of whom preceded her in death. She lovingly embraced her role as a mother to Spencer Wills (Amanda) of Saint John and Foster Arseneault of Saint John. Additionally, she shared a special bond with her brother Rick Wills (Lynn) of Nerepis, NB. Kathy found immense joy in nurturing her nieces Stephanie, Richard, and Andrew, and took great delight in being a loving great aunt to Jacob and Kaiyan. To Chayce and Laken, she was an adoring Nana, and to Kole, she was affectionately known as Nay-Nay. These young boys held an incredibly significant place in her kindheartedness. Kathy felt blessed to have a remarkable extended family, whom she cherished dearly. She shared a close bond with Audrey Dexter (Mike) and their family, considering them as her own. She also held a special place in her heart for Daniel Arsenault and his crew, particularly Monique, who always referred to Kathy as her “real” Mom, a bond that Kathy held close to her heart. Kathy’s lifelong friendship with Cathy O’Connor, spanning over half a century, was a treasure she deeply valued. Her love for these individuals knew no limits.

Throughout her professional journey, Kathy dedicated 34 years of her life to NBICA. In 2017, at the age of 57, she embarked on a new and exciting chapter with MAP Strategic Workforce Services. Kathy was warmly embraced by her new team and expressed immense gratitude for the kindness she received. She developed lasting friendships at work, particularly with her boss and confidant, Helene Savoie-Louis. The memorial service for Kathy will take place at The Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2023, starting at 12:00 PM. Arrangements for the service are being handled by Brenan’s Funeral Home, located at 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Following the service, Kathy will be laid to rest in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photo and share a story or reminisce about joyful moments they experienced with Kathy. In lieu of flowers, Kathy kindly requests that donations be made to Hestia House or any children’s charity. Online condolences can be expressed at http://www.BrenansFH.com.
