Kenneth SMITH
Kenneth Lee Smith, aged 75, passed away on October 31, 2023, at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. His beloved wife of 54 years, Velma, along with their children Greg (Janice), Scott (Nena), and Brent (Sheri), and grandchildren Jayce, Janessa, Alyssa, Haylee, Andrew, and Lauren, mourn his loss profoundly. Ken is also survived and deeply missed by his mother, Shirley (late Lee) Smith, siblings Jeanette Smith, Terry (Julia) Smith, John (Joan) Smith, Jeff (Colleen) Smith, and Donnalea (Don) Shearer, sister-in-law Katherine (Bob) Hines, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. After dedicating 40 years of service, Ken retired from Ford Motor Company in Talbotville. He found joy in boating in Long Point, actively participated in the Centennial Sports Club in St. Thomas, and served as the President of St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association for an extended period. A celebration of Ken’s life will take place at the Centennial Sports Club in St. Thomas on November 25, 2023, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. In memory of Ken, donations to the Centennial Sports Club or a preferred charity in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
