Ken, a beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on October 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was married to his wife Margret for 55 years and leaves behind his cherished daughters Kristie Friest (Bryan) and Amy Sebestyen (Shane). He will be missed by his dear brother Gary Towers (2022) (Carol), Diane Edmunds (Doug), Debbie Cogliati (Dan), Donna Bolohan (Bill), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ken dedicated 36 years of his life to a successful career at Chrysler Canada in the Finance Department before retiring. He had a very sociable nature and enjoyed being in the company of others. Even in his later years, Ken found joy in a second career in sales, working until the age of 81 alongside his close friends Mario and Janice Nogueira at Guaranteed Windows. Ken proudly served as a Commander in the Navel Reserves/HMCS Hunter, where he received numerous honorable appointments and decorations. He actively contributed to his community through various organizations and committees, including the United Way, Junior Achievement of Windsor, U of W Alumni, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Gregory’s Parish Committee, and the St. Clair Beach Police Service Board. Ken had a love for golf, playing in his Monday night golf league, as well as enjoying Thursday darts with his brother Gary. He had a talent for yard work and cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Ken had a great sense of humor that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Riverside Place for their dedicated care and compassion during Ken’s final days.
