Kristen Spring, a devoted advocate for disability and accessibility rights, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Known affectionately as the “mother” of guide dog, Terra, she found immense joy in her role as a Patient Experience Advisor at KGH. For over two decades, Kristen selflessly dedicated her time volunteering at Queen’s University’s Clinical Education Centre, fostering a nurturing environment for countless individuals. She leaves behind a legacy of promoting equal rights for all and will be greatly missed. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Audrey and Paula for their unwavering support during Kristen’s final days. In honor of Kristen’s memory, donations can be made to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind.
