Krystyna Maria Cienska

Krystyna Cienska, born into a Polish landowner family on March 13, 1926 in Czahrów (Stanisławow Voivodeship) Poland, which currently lies within the borders of Ukraine.
After World War II, she graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Commerce in Warsaw. In 1960 she left Poland for Australia and later moved to Canada. In Canada, she obtained a masters degree in Library Studies from Concordia University and worked at the McGill University Library until her retirement. Krystyna was a member of many organizations and took an active part in the life of the Polish community in Montreal.
A woman curious about the world, with many interests, she loved animals.
She spent the last years of her life at Manoir Westmount and Excelsoins Ste-Geneviève retirement homes.
Funeral will be held at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Church on March 19, 2024 at 11:00 am. , located at 2550 Av. Gascon, Montréal, QC H2K 2Y2.
She will be laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery, niche L-6-H, on March 26th, 2024 at 3 pm.
