Leona Marie Lawrence

Leona Marie (Norum) Lawrence passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 87 in Langley Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1936, in Vancouver, BC, and was raised in Ladner, BC. Leona married James (Jim) Lawrence on September 20, 1957, and together they raised their family in different parts of British Columbia before retiring to 100 Mile House in 1990. Following Jim’s death, Leona moved back to Langley in 2013 and recently reconnected with her biological family, the Glens from Port Alberni, BC.

Leona is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James (Jim) Lawrence, and her parents, Arthur and Blanche Norum. She is survived by her loving children, Ann, Lori, Alex (Nadine), and Jay (Pam); grandchildren Carley (Austin), Curtis (Myesha), Spencer (Paige), Tricia, and Alicia (Tyler); as well as great-grandchildren Lincoln, Phaedra, Daxter, and Justin.

A graveside service to honor Leona’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 100 Mile House Cemetery.
