Leonard “Len” Martin, a beloved resident of Outlook, Saskatchewan, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on Sunday, May 21, 1933, Len grew up on a farm near Asquith and later pursued his higher education in Guelph, Ontario. After graduating from high school, Len worked various odd jobs before realizing his passion for veterinary medicine. He dedicated his life to this field, earning a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and embarking on a fulfilling career that took him across Canada and even overseas, including the United States and Africa. While he cherished every aspect of his profession, Len felt particularly fulfilled when serving rural communities, where he could form strong bonds with his neighbors and farmers, ultimately building a thriving practice and lifelong friendships. Len’s true joy in life, however, came from his children. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and his children Catherine (Matthew), Alison, Leslie (Curtis), and Michelle (Bob). He also leaves behind step-children Wanda (Dan), Wendy (Tyler), Beverly (Mark), and Michael, as well as numerous adoring grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Len will be deeply missed.
