September 12, 1965 – October 16, 2023

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Lillian Croskery, on October 16, 2023, in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Surrounded by her family, Lillian passed away peacefully. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl MacDonald, as well as her son, Mason MacDonald. Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Derrek, and her daughter, Taija, along with Taija’s husband, Zach Fritsch.

Lillian, affectionately known as Lily, was a proud and devoted grandmother to her granddaughters, Emmylou and Everleigh. She was a loving sister to Sharron, Cathy, Judy, Eileen, and Debbie. Lillian’s many nieces and nephews will forever miss her presence in their lives.

Throughout her life, Lily, also known as Lips, was well-known for her infectious laughter and her ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around her. She was a loyal and trustworthy friend to many and dedicated her career to hairdressing, always committed to her work in the shop. However, Lily’s greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother, as her family was her greatest source of pride and accomplishment.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their exceptional care and ensuring that Lily was comfortable during her final days. A private celebration of life will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to be made to the St. Joseph Foundation.

The arrangements have been entrusted to the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre, located at 36 Ontario Avenue. Expressions of sympathy for the Croskery family may be made at http://www.elliotlakefuneralchapel.com.
