August 5, 2023

Lillian Glee Wannamaker (formerly Moxam), aged 89, passed away peacefully in Oakville on Saturday August 5th, 2023 after a short illness. She was born on March 15, 1934 in Belleville to Anna Coral (formerly Fox) and E. W. Douglas Moxam. Lillian married her high school sweetheart, John Wannamaker, and together they made Oakville their home for over 70 years, raising their 4 children.

Throughout her life, Lillian was an active member of her community, supporting seniors as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. As a dedicated mother, she took pleasure in attending her children’s softball, gymnastics, and golf activities. Apart from her family, Lillian cherished her daily indulgence in chocolate and held a deep love for the Toronto Blue Jays, her Florida home, as well as English murder mysteries and Jeopardy.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband, John, and their 4 children: David Wannamaker, Donna Corrigan (married to Bernie Albright), Debra Wannamaker (married to Leo Starinieri), and Sandra Treliving (married to Jim Treliving). She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Jaclyn Corrigan, Melissa Corrigan (married to Kyle Ross), Katie Borger (nee Beauchamp, married to Tanner Borger), and Daniel Beauchamp (married to Jennifer). Additionally, Lillian leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Georgia, Brooks, Ethan, Ellis, Gemma, and Austin.

Fondly remembered by her family and friends, Lillian will be cherished as a kind, fun-loving, and extraordinary woman. A Celebration of Life will take place in the autumn. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Trillium and Oakville Hospitals, as well as the Salvation Army, as a tribute to her memory.
