Linda Jane Brush (née Marshall), aged 82, passed away at University Hospital on Monday, August 21, 2023. Linda was the youngest of six children born to David and Charlotte Marshall. She was preceded in death by all her siblings: Charlotte LaFatta, Norman Marshall, David Marshall, Evelyn Ebbinghaus, and Norma Iles. Linda had been married to her beloved husband, Lynn Leighton Brush, for 59 years until his passing in 2020. She had deeply missed him during the past three years. Linda was a cherished mother to Laird and Lise Brush, Susan Brush and Dan Bourque, and Eric and Pamela Brush. She was also a dear grandmother to Taylor and Kevin Strybosch, Sara Brush, Jake Brush (Chelsea Dean), Lexi Sherriff and Derek Coleman, Maegan and Adam Bryan, and Avery Brush. Linda lovingly embraced her role as a great-grandmother to Gwenyth and Luna Bryan, Benjamin and James Coleman. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Linda and Lynn relocated to London, where they resided for 42 years. Linda drew immense joy from being surrounded by her family. She delighted in walking on the beach in Myrtle, playing Euchre with plenty of playful banter, indulging in a good book or challenging puzzle, and never turning down a piece of chocolate. She will also be remembered by her extended family, The Brush-Brats, including Gary and Donna Brush, Camilla and Lorne MacKinnon, and Catherine Gniposky. Her lifelong friends, affectionately known as The Dinosaur Club, as well as her neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances, will also deeply miss Linda. Her incredible sense of humor, warm and generous nature, and loving guidance will be greatly missed. The family extends their gratitude to the paramedics and emergency room staff at University Hospital for their care. Visitation will take place at Northview Funeral Chapel, located at 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A garden-side memorial service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, located at 493 Springbank Drive, London, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Westover Treatment Centre.
