Lois Marie Bastow (nee Forbes) peacefully passed away on September 6, 2023, at Henley Place in London, Ontario. She was 89 years old. Lois was a devoted wife to her late husband Edwin “Ted” Bastow, who passed away in 1988. She is survived by her loving daughter Linda Avery (Larry) of Grand Bend. Lois will be greatly missed by her brother Glenn (Helen), her two adoring grandchildren, Leah (Ian) and Tyler (Jenna), and her two beloved great-grandchildren, Eamon and Addison. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Born on May 26, 1934, in Sarnia, Ontario, Lois was the daughter of Irene Marie Forbes and Donald Forbes, both of whom preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Lois dedicated her time as a dedicated employee in Quality Control at Kellogg’s Canada. She successfully balanced her career with raising her daughter Linda under the loving care of her husband Ted. Known for her sense of humor, Lois approached life’s ups and downs with laughter. She had a great affinity for animals and was a passionate lover of cats and dogs. Her most recent furry companion was her beloved little dog named Lily. Lois enjoyed shopping, visiting friends, tending to her beautiful home, and above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Henley Place and Diane, who provided assistance in caring for Lois. In memory of Lois, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society Southwest Partners, located at 435 Windermere Road, London, ON N5X 2T1.
