Lorraine Pauline (nee Shular) Bishop, a cherished wife, mother, Baba, and Babi, passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 78. Lorraine will forever be fondly remembered by her loving husband of 55 years, Barry, and her two sons, Colin (Carol) from Edmonton and Alan (Carrie) from Ardrossan. She also leaves behind three brothers, Joe (Agnes), Orest (Helen), and Carl (Joan), as well as her grandchildren Reid, Raya, and Steven. Lamentably, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Rosie Shular, along with her sister Ann (Willard) and brother Nestor (Diane).

A liturgy to honor Lorraine’s life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sophia Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sherwood Park, AB (25-53012, Range Rd 224). Following the service, a light lunch and fellowship will take place. Later, on October 7, 2023, a mass and interment ceremony will be conducted at Krasne-St. John the Apostle Ukrainian Catholic Church in Saskatchewan, near her beloved parents.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at various medical institutions and all the friends and relatives who provided unwavering support during her end-of-life journey. In remembrance of Lorraine, donations can be made to St. Sophia’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish.

A liturgy in memorialization of Lorraine’s beautiful life will be conducted at St. Sophia Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sherwood Park, AB (25-53012, Range Rd 224) on Saturday, September 2, 2023, commencing at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, a light lunch and fellowship will be held, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together. In honor of her wishes and nearness to her beloved parents, Lorraine will be laid to rest during a mass and interment ceremony on October 7, 2023, at Krasne-St. John the Apostle Ukrainian Catholic Church in Saskatchewan.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the assistance received during this difficult time.
