Louise Condon Peach (Murphy) passed away on October 27th, 2023, leaving behind a lasting impact on all those who knew her. She was a devoted mother, loving wife, and doting grandmother who lived a life characterized by compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love. Born on June 17th, 1935, Louise was actively involved in her community and beyond, dedicating herself to service, faith, and entrepreneurship. Her talents and achievements touched countless lives, making her an inspiration to many.

Originally from Mount Forest, Ontario, Louise relocated to Sudbury in the early 1960s and dedicated her career to serving others as the Director of Social Services at Sudbury General Hospital. Her leadership, kindness, and tireless work ethic were a source of inspiration for everyone she encountered. Louise’s advocacy work was instrumental in providing health coverage before universal healthcare and addressing the AIDS pandemic in the 1980s. Additionally, she tirelessly advocated for geriatric services in Sudbury, ensuring excellent care and compassion for her community.

Louise’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to create and establish Just Peachy Jams, a small business that showcased her culinary skills at craft shows throughout Sudbury and Ontario. Every jar of jam was a testament to her passion, commitment, and the love she put into her creations. However, her greatest accomplishment and source of pride came from her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She instilled in her family the values of unconditional love, kindness, and a strong work ethic, leaving a lasting legacy of love and generosity.

Louise is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arthur Peach, her children Michael and Chris (predeceased), and her cherished grandchildren Sam, Will, and Max. She will be dearly missed by her nieces Monica, Kelly, Michele, and their families. Louise was the daughter of George and Margaret Murphy (predeceased) and sister of Hanorah Murphy (predeceased) and Michael Murphy (predeceased). She was also sister-in-law to Donald (predeceased), Sharon (predeceased), and Joanne. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Sudbury, Ontario, on November 4th, 2023.

In memory of her son Chris, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Louise Peach Memorial Award. This fund provides financial support to Cambrian College students with identified learning needs, a cause that was close to Louise’s heart. Donations and messages of condolence can be made through the websites of Lougheed Funeral Homes and Cambrian College.

Though we may have lost Louise, her spirit will live on through the memories and lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy of compassion and generosity remains enshrined in our hearts.
