Lucille COTE

Lucille Cote, beloved mother and wife, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born on April 27, 1932, and grew up in a warm and loving French family just outside Arborfield, Saskatchewan. Lucille pursued a nursing career at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon and dedicated most of her professional life to serving the community in Shellbrook. However, her true calling and greatest joy came from being a devoted wife and mother to her five children.

Throughout her life, Lucille exemplified a kind heart and a delightful sense of humor. She adored her 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, cherishing precious moments spent with each of them. Lucille had a zest for life and enjoyed various activities such as reading, crocheting, playing cards, and gardening. She also loved exploring new interests, like learning Spanish and honing her culinary skills. Lucille’s warm and welcoming nature was demonstrated through her passion for entertaining, always making room for friends who dropped by.

Together with her beloved husband Maurice, Lucille embarked on countless adventures, including extensive travels and visits to family, en route to their winter home in Phoenix, Arizona. Sadly, Maurice passed away in 2016, leaving behind cherished memories that Lucille held dear. The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the care provided by the staff at Sunnyside Adventist Care Home in Saskatoon.

In remembrance of Lucille, the family kindly requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers. A memorial service honoring her life will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cherished Memories Funeral Home in Martensville, Saskatchewan.
