Maisie Ramshaw, a beloved member of the community, peacefully passed away at the age of 95 on October 20, 2023, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Born on December 25, 1927, in Tawatinaw, Alberta, Maisie developed a deep passion for horses during her upbringing on a farm. Throughout her life, she displayed strong will and an outgoing nature, leading her to embark on numerous adventures. Maisie enjoyed traveling and was able to make lasting connections wherever she went. Her involvement in various organizations such as the Legion, the United Church, Curling, and the Oil Wives in Lodgepole, Drayton Valley, and Edmonton, Alberta, showcased her commitment to her community.

Maisie will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Heather (Harold) Hopp, along with her grandchildren, Sarah (Kevin) Machan, Ryan Hopp, and Chris (Kristen) Hopp, as well as her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ramshaw. A Memorial Reception will be held at Parkland Funeral Home in Red Deer, Alberta, on October 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. This event will serve as a celebration of Maisie’s remarkable life, providing an opportunity for friends and family to share stories, memories, and a light lunch together.
