Margaret PETERS

Margaret Eleanora Peters (nee Koop) was born on May 5, 1928, in Pleasant Point, Saskatchewan. Tragically, on August 19, 2023, she peacefully passed away at Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon. Margaret is survived by her children, Bill (Virginia), Marilyn (Bob), and Margaret. Additionally, she leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, Ryan (Sally), Sean (Makiko), Malcolm (Jen), and Tiffany (Kris), as well as seven cherished great-grandchildren. Unfortunately, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Maria Koop, her husband Edward, and her son Douglas. She will be greatly missed by her four sisters, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was not only a devoted mother and grandmother but also a passionate member of her community. Before starting her family on a farm near Hanley, she pursued a career in nursing. Throughout her life, she found great joy in music, gardening, and crafts. These hobbies brought her much happiness and allowed her to leave a lasting impact on those who knew her.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 24, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service on Friday, August 25, at 1:00 p.m., both held at Nutana Park Mennonite Church, located at 1701 Ruth St. E. in Saskatoon. Following the reception, Margaret will be laid to rest at Hanley Mennonite Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Outlook Funeral Chapel, and any inquiries can be made by calling 306 867 8255.
