Marian JAQUES

Marian Kathleen Jaques, aged 94, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2023, at Wildwood Care Centre in St. Marys. She was born in Usborne Township, the daughter of Carrie and Arlow Copeland. Marian was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lloyd Jaques in 1983 and her second husband Don Maguire in 2019. She is survived by her children: Dan Jaques of Renfrew, Deborah Ford (Ron) of St. Marys, Nancy Hudson of Windsor, Suzanne Matheson (Steve) of Devon, AB, and Barbara Jaques of Napanee. Marian also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sadly, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Charlie Webb, Mike Bedard, and her sister Loreen Hodgson. Marian actively contributed to the Kirkton-Woodham community, serving as the Blanshard Township Clerk Treasurer for several years. After retirement, she dedicated her time as a volunteer in various capacities. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Wildwood Care Centre for the compassionate care provided to Marian. Visitation will be held at Grace Community Church in St. Marys on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home in St. Marys on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor David Horne. Marian will be laid to rest at Kirkton Union Cemetery in Kirkton. Marian’s first husband, Lloyd Jaques, passed away in 1983, and she later remarried Don Maguire, who died in 2019. Left to mourn her loss are her children: Dan Jaques, Deborah Ford (Ron), Nancy Hudson, Suzanne Matheson (Steve), and Barbara Jaques. Marian was also loved and remembered by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Charlie Webb, Mike Bedard, and her sister Loreen Hodgson.
