Marilyn GRAHAM

Marilyn Graham, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of [exact age] with heavy hearts. Born in a teacherage near Choiceland, SK, Marilyn was the daughter of Bruce and Hilda Mae Harris. Growing up with her brother Floyd, Marilyn pursued a career in teaching, following in her father’s footsteps. It was during her first teaching job in Eston that she met Charles Graham, a dashing Mountie who stole her heart. They married in 1961 and settled in Watrous, SK, where their daughter Nancy was born in 1964. As an RCMP family, they embraced a life of frequent moves, residing in various locations throughout Saskatchewan before eventually settling in Kingston, ON after Charles’ retirement. Despite her love for their new home, Marilyn could never quite adapt to the humidity of the area.

Marilyn leaves behind her daughter Nancy, grandson Vagn, and the devoted Graham clan, in addition to cherished friends like Ray and Faye, as well as numerous loved ones out West. Tragically, Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband in June 2020. Throughout her life, Marilyn was surrounded by an abundance of love, making her existence truly blessed.

During her final moments, Marilyn was surrounded by her son and daughter, Vagn and Nancy, along with the unwavering support of Sue, Laura, Ray, and Rod. Their love encircled her until the very end. In September, a Celebration of Life will be held in Marilyn’s honor. In memory of Marilyn, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, The Arthritis Society, or the Kingston Humane Society, causes she passionately supported. Marilyn’s passing serves as a reminder to never take any day for granted and to always express love to those dear to your heart – a sentiment that would undoubtedly bring her immense happiness.
