Marion Lafern (née Gee) Jamieson, a resident of London, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Thursday, August 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was in her 95th year and succumbed to a brief illness. Marion was born on December 25, 1928, to George and Violet Gee in Oxford County. After dedicating 34 years of her life to teaching kindergarten in Oxford County, Marion retired in June 1985 and settled in London. During her 38-year retirement, she and her husband embarked on numerous adventures, exploring different parts of Canada, the United States, and enjoying unforgettable trips to Ireland, England, France, and Greece. Alongside her devotion to her family, Marion remained an ardent fan of baseball, with unwavering support for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Marion leaves behind a legacy cherished by her beloved grandchildren, Brent (Megan) and Stephanie, as well as her great-grandson James. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Gee and Anne Richardson, along with many nieces and nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Bernard, as well as two sisters, Margaret and Bernice, and two brothers, Aubrey and Russell.

The funeral service for Marion Lafern Jamieson will take place at Westview Funeral Chapel, located at 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Prior to the service, visitation will be held for one hour. Marion will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or LHSF – Cancer Program.
