Marion Henrietta Sherman (nee Harding) peacefully passed away at Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 94. She was the cherished wife of Charles Sherman Sr. (1986), and the devoted mother of Cheryl-Ann Robinson (late Mark – 2019), Darlene Sherman, and the late Chuck Sherman (2023). Marion adored her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, and she leaves behind a loving legacy with Melanie Covey (Jason) and their children Carter and Caliann, as well as Jared Robinson (Savannah) and their daughter Josie Ella Jean. Marion is also survived by her dear brother Jim Harding (Dorothy) and her special nieces and nephews, including Rick Harding (Deb), Ruthanne Ross (Dominic), and Rob Harding (Brenda). She was predeceased by her brother Ray Harding (2003). Marion will be remembered for her passion for singing, baking, and spending time with friends. She was famous for her delicious date filled cookies, which she proudly contributed to the annual Vittoria Spaghetti Auction. A public memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at St. Andrew’s United Church in Vittoria at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Love officiating. Following the service, a private family interment will take place at Port Dover Cemetery. The Jason Smith Funeral Chapel in Simcoe is honored to handle the arrangements.
