Marlene was born in London, Ontario on April 2, 1940, to her late parents Earl and Lillian Jury. She excelled as a lifelong teacher, devoted mother, and cherished friend to many. Marlene is survived by her four children, Jeff (Beth), Angela (Rick), Rebecca (Arthur), and Greg (Heather), as well as her grandchildren Lucas, Jacob, Noah, Melissa, David, and Colin. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband Ken (2012) and grandson Joshua (1994). Marlene took immense pride in her family and found joy in life’s simple pleasures, such as reading, enjoying coffee with friends, participating in bible study, and going shopping with her daughters and sister. Even as her health declined, Marlene’s devotion to her Christian faith remained strong. With her petite stature and grand spirit, she was universally described as a kind and loving woman. In her final days, it became clear that Marlene longed to be called home to her eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

Per Marlene’s wishes, her body was cremated. A visitation service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel located on 709 Wonderland Road North, London.
