Martin Laming, a beloved individual who exuded infectious energy and brought humor and warmth to all, peacefully passed away on August 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, whose generous and compassionate nature touched the lives of countless people. Martin’s love for life served as an inspiration, encouraging others to appreciate the simple joys and not fret over trivial matters. While his lungs may have failed him, his heart remained strong. Martin is survived by his daughter Heather (Adam), son Joseph, and their mother Cindy, who formed his closest circle. Moreover, his grandchildren Nora and Leo were the shining stars of his world, forever remembering their grandpa. Martin leaves behind cherished memories and is predeceased by his sister Janice and parents Ralph and Velma. He is also survived by his sister Lydia and brother Greg, along with beloved nieces and nephews.

To honor Martin’s memory, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 26, from 1-3 p.m. at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home-Central Chapel in Kingston, located at 49 Colborne St. (Clergy Street). The event entails an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share stories, reminisce, and pay tribute to a man whose presence brought smiles to all.
