It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Reed (Kennelly-Hubert) on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the age of 79. She peacefully left this world at Timmins and District Hospital St-Mary’s site. Mary was a beloved mother to Tina Boucher (Don) and Shelley Giguere-Kennelly (Roger Bolduc). Her grandchildren, Gilles (Dude), Jennifer, Kaitlin (Eric), and Sabrina (Josh), held a special place in her heart, as did her great-grandchildren Valentina, Kolton, and Denis. Mary will be remembered fondly by her surviving sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Reed and Sara Janes, as well as by her brothers Robert Reed and David Veitch.

Mary enjoyed her favorite shows, particularly the Young and the Restless, movies, and music. She found solace in listening to WMEX Boston radio Station and cherished the DJs who uplifted her spirits. Mary’s loving and caring nature, as well as her beautiful smile and sense of humor, will be greatly missed. Her motto in life was “Family is Everything.” The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Cohen, Dr. Ali, Dr. Hopkins, Bayshore, and the exceptional staff at the Timmins and District Hospital, who provided exceptional care to Mary. She will also be dearly missed by her dear friends Tracy Dunbar, Doris Giguere, Gerry Talon, and everyone at 646 Bartleman. Mom, we can hardly fathom how life will be without you. We love you more than words can express and will carry your memory in our hearts until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has already taken place, and a celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at 400 Shirley Street North, Timmins, ON (limited parking available). The MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, located at 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
