Mary Larkin, aged 80, peacefully passed away at St. Michaels Centre Hospice in Burnaby, BC, on Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was born in Dundee, Scotland, where she spent her childhood and pursued her passion for nursing. Mary had the opportunity to work as a registered nurse in several European cities before getting married and immigrating to Canada. In her new home, she raised a family and continued her nursing career at the University of Ottawa’s Heart Institute. After retiring, Mary relocated to British Columbia to be closer to her loved ones.
Mary was deeply devoted to her children and grandchildren, and she felt immense joy being surrounded by their love and affection. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of her loving family and close friends. Mary is survived by her sons, Kevin Larkin (Eva) and Iain Larkin (Nancy); her daughter, Tracy Larkin; and her grandchildren, Aidyn, Leland, Connor, Patrick, and Reagan.
