Mary Storring

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Storring (formerly known as Betty Lacey) passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of 83. She was a beloved wife to the late William “Douglas” and a dear mother to Debbie Woodcock (Terry Burns) and Darlene Storring. Betty’s greatest joy came from her grandchildren, Lacey (Philip) and Lisa (Mike), as well as her great-grandchildren Nathanael, Madison, Nerrisa, Natalina, Nyah, and Morgan. She will always be cherished by her siblings Peggy (late Bruce) Longmuir, Bernard Lacey, Patricia (Terry) Thompson, Lori (Peter) Koenne, and Joan (late Garry) Prince. Betty also held a special place in the hearts of her late in-laws, Doris Wemp (late Leigh), Ron (late Evelyn) Storring, and Mary Lynn (late Walter) Bell, along with her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will take place at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Centreville on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Following the Mass, Betty will be laid to rest at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. At 83 years old, Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories. She was a devoted wife to her late husband William “Douglas” and a caring mother to Debbie Woodcock and Darlene Storring. Betty’s grandchildren, Lacey and Lisa, brought immense joy to her life, as did her great-grandchildren Nathanael, Madison, Nerrisa, Natalina, Nyah, and Morgan. Her siblings Peggy, Bernard, Patricia, Lori, and Joan, along with her late in-laws and numerous relatives, shared a deep bond with Betty that will be cherished forever.

To commemorate Betty’s life, a visitation will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee on Monday, August 14, 2023, allowing family and friends to pay their respects between 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Mass honoring Betty will take place the following day, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Centreville. After the Mass, Betty will be laid to rest with a burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
