Michael Joseph Devine, a beloved father and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 in London, Ontario on September 1, 2023. He succumbed to complications arising from Parkinson’s Disease. Michael is survived by his loving daughter Michaela Devine Altenburg of London and his cherished grandchildren Morgan, Willem, and Janek. He was also a dear brother to Donna, Shaun, and Patrick Devine. Michael’s sister Penny Oglow and his parents Helen and Walter Devine of Wawa, Ontario predeceased him.

Throughout his life, Michael found great enrichment in his love for music and his avid interest in mathematics, science, poetry, and philosophy. He was a passionate seeker of knowledge until the very end. He also had a deep affection for his two cats, Butterbean and Amber, whom he found immense joy in.

Both his family and numerous friends will greatly miss Michael’s presence in their lives. On September 5, his cremation took place, and a gravestone now stands in his memory at Woodland Cemetery in Wawa, Ontario.
