Michael A. J. Weadick, aged 68, passed away on August 20, 2023 at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. He was born in St. Catharines, Ontario to Nora and John Clifford Weadick. Michael was the cherished husband of Christine Weadick and the loving father of Phillip, Sara, and Raymond. He was also the proud Poopah of Easton. Michael is survived by his siblings Wayne, Loretta, and Noreen, and preceded in death by his sister Donna. He will be deeply missed by his family and numerous friends.

During his career, Michael dedicated 35 years to Maple Leaf Foods in Rannoch. He took on various roles within the company and always embraced new challenges. Apart from his professional life, Michael had a genuine love for his family and possessed an infectious sense of humor. He enjoyed pursuing his numerous passions such as photography, chess, reading, and history.

Michael faced a twelve-year battle with Amyloidosis AL, experiencing both triumphs and setbacks. Throughout it all, he displayed immense courage, strength, and determination. His ability to tackle each obstacle with a witty joke was an inspiration to all who knew him.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at St Marys Memorial Hospital, London Regional Cancer Program, Victoria and University Hospitals, and Stratford General Hospital. A special thank you goes to the staff at the Rotary Hospice Stratford for their outstanding care during his final days. Their compassion and support will always be remembered.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the W. G. Young Funeral Home on August 25, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor William Ney. After the interment at Avondale Cemetery, a reception will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to be made to the Rotary Hospice Stratford or the Stratford General Hospital through W.G. Young Funeral Home.
