Michal Kos

The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Golden Manor on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Survived by his wife Maria, and his children Celestina (Greg Anderson) and Sandra (Nik LoRegio) and his grandson Sam (LoRegio). He is also survived by his brother Wiktor, and sisters Jean (Krzywonos) and Alexandra (Mitchell). Predeceased by his daughter Ida and sister Helena (Silarski). When Mike first arrived in Northern Ontario, he worked for McChesney Lumber until he started his 46 year mining career underground at the McIntyre site and subsequently at the Pamour and Hoyle Pond sites, until his retirement in 1999. Mike will be fondly remembered as a devoted father and dedicated member of the local Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 3.00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1340 MacLean Drive in Timmins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society either in person or online at donate.jw.org. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, Ontario.
