Mike Kwasnycia (1933-2023) passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 90. His loved ones, including his daughters Kathy, Patricia, Nancy, and Sherry, his sons Boris and Michael, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will forever cherish the memories they have of him. Mike will be remembered for his passion for the mountains and fishing in the lakes of British Columbia. He was known for his skill as a woodworker and his dedication to his family. Mike’s warm bear hugs, sense of humor, and strong work ethic made him a beloved figure among family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Marion, as well as his siblings Vicky, Marie, Roy, Peter, Walter, and Bill. A Memorial Service in his honor will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Parkland Funeral Chapel in Stony Plain, AB, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Stony Plain Golf Course. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mike Kwasnycia, our dear father, Dido, brother, and uncle, bid farewell to us on September 9, 2023, at the remarkable age of 90. We mourn the loss of a man who cherished the mountains and found solace in angling in the lakes of British Columbia. Mike’s true joy was spending time with his family, basking in their company during various gatherings. He wore multiple hats but found his greatest pleasure as a woodworker. His unwavering dedication to providing and caring for his kin was unparalleled. Mike’s tight bear hugs, his infectious sense of humor, and his remarkable work ethic will always be etched in our hearts. He is survived by his daughters Kathy, Patricia, Nancy, and Sherry; his sons Boris and Michael; his grandchildren Kristyn, Tyler, Kyle, Kelsey, Logan, Brenden, Brittany, Teghan, Taylor, Michelle, Nicholas, Karissa, and Matthew; and his great-grandchildren Serenity, Azebelle, Jaxon, Brittany, Siera, Abigalle, Isaiah, Noah, Benjamin, and Mackenzie. Additionally, he leaves behind his sister Eleanor and his brothers Nick, Alfred, and Victor, alongside many cherished extended family members and friends. Predeceasing him are his wife Marion and his siblings Vicky, Marie, Roy, Peter, Walter, and Bill.
