Mildred SERSON

Mildred Alice Serson, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on August 8, 2023, at the Carveth Care Centre at the age of 92. Mildred, who was born Mildred Clark, was the cherished wife of the late Ernest Serson. She was deeply loved by her children Gail Steacy (Russell deceased) and Dale Serson (Marilyn). Sadly, Mildred was predeceased by her daughter Linda Freeman. Mildred will be fondly remembered as the grandmother of Elaine (Geoff), Kimberly, Barbara (Todd), Joseph (lily), Angela (Dave), Kathy, Lyn, Thomas, Jordan, and Ernie. She was also a proud great-grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mildred’s dear sister, Ronald “Buddy” Clark (Marilyn deceased), also survives her. She was predeceased by her brothers Donald, James, Junior, and Gerald Clark, as well as her parents Augustus and Gertrude Clark and her stepfather John McKenna. Mildred will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Elsie Clark (Douglas deceased), son-in-law Edward Freeman, and her dear friends Pat, Diane, and Roger. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness in sending cards to everyone for birthdays and other special occasions as well as her famous baked beans, which she brought to every special gathering. Additionally, she will always be remembered as the one who captured precious memories with a camera in her hand at every event.

A Graveside service to honor Mildred’s life will be held at a later date in the Olivet cemetery.
