Murray Francis Joseph Mullen peacefully passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the age of 73, surrounded by loved ones at the Pembroke Regional Hospital. He was a resident of Pembroke and the beloved husband of Mary Bonita Mullen, formerly known as Bonnie (nee Neville). Murray was a caring father to Christian Mullen, who was married to Lorettta Mullen. Additionally, he cherished his role as a grandfather to Damon and Skye. Murray’s surviving family members include his brother Ellsworth Mullen, who was married to Shirley Mullen, and his sister Helene. Murray was preceded in death by his son Shawn, his parents Wilmont and Isabell Mullen (nee Rougier), as well as his sisters Pamela, Cheryl, and infant sister Shirley. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In accordance with Murray’s wishes, his remains have been cremated. A Graveside Service is planned for the spring at St. Columba’s Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Lung Association as a heartfelt expression of sympathy.
