Nadine Brown (Venn) was born on October 25, 1942, in Bristol, England. She peacefully passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. Nadine was the beloved wife of the late William Brown, affectionately known as Slim, who had passed away in 2014. She was a devoted mother to Dave and Kathryn, both residing in Goderich, and a cherished grandmother to Reagan and Dwyer. Nadine is survived by her older brother Roy Venn and her extended family, including several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband William, her parents Reginald and Olive Venn, her sister Jean Hanna, and other beloved family members.

A loving and caring individual, Nadine was an exceptional mother and grandmother, always treasuring her family and friends. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, watching sports, playing cards, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Nadine’s warm and compassionate personality touched the hearts of those around her. Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Dawson, the staff at Goderich Place, and AMGH for their care and support during Nadine’s final days. They also extend special thanks to her best friend Shirley and a close acquaintance named Shezbutt for their unwavering love and assistance.

Cremation has taken place in accordance with Nadine’s wishes, and a private family service will be held at a later date. To celebrate Nadine’s life, a gathering will be held at the Goderich Legion on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1pm to 4 pm. All friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend this event. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a donation to Huron Hospice or the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundations’ new MRI, as a tribute to Nadine’s memory.
